St John Evangelist Catholic School – Welcome

Message from the Headteacher

Welcome to St John Evangelist Catholic Primary School website.

The school is situated in the heart of Angel, Islington and is privileged to serve our local community and provide education for our children from 3 to 11 years old. The Catholic life of the school and Religious Education underpin everything we do. We nurture a sense of belonging and social responsibility not only to the school and parish but also to the wider community.

Our Mission Statement

‘To love, to learn with God in our hearts’ inspires all members of our school community to always strive to do their best to develop our skills and talents for the glory of God and for the service of all our brothers and sisters.

Our Vision

St John Evangelist Catholic Primary School is a school built on the Catholic faith. Our children are taught to nurture faith, as family and community-minded individuals, who value and care for each other and our environment. We ensure that every child reaches their full potential, growing with confidence and resilience into citizens who contribute positively to the wider community. We will achieve this by delivering a broad, relevant and enriched curriculum that fosters high standards for all children’s academic success and ensures they are ready for the next phase of their education.

Our Values

We love and respect God and one another

We follow in Jesus’ footsteps by being examples of our faith in the community

We take responsibility for our actions and have high expectations of ourselves

We are called to serve everyone, especially those in need

We are caretakers of the Earth

We hope that you enjoy your visit to our website, and gain an insight into the many wonderful things our school is involved in and hope that you are encouraged to become a part of this very special community.

Best wishes
