Past into Present: Public Health in Islington since 1900.
St John’s has been successful in securing a Heritage Lottery Fund bid for an exciting project called ‘Past into Present: Public Health in Islington since 1900’.
This project enabled Neptune Class and Saturn Class to develop an understanding of how health has changed and developed over the last 100 years in their local area focussing on: understanding chronology, supporting children to interview local people for their healthcare memories and undertaking research trips which will give them first-hand experiences.
The children will also create a digital timeline that will be shared with other schools and the community.
