St Joan of Arc at the British Museum

On Friday 5th December, St Joan of Arc’s Year 4 class visited the British Museum to explore the Sutton Hoo exhibition, linked to our history topic on the Anglo-Saxons, Picts and Scots. We looked at the artefacts from the ship burial, including the helmet, shield and gold ornaments. Seeing these objects helped us understand how early settlers lived, travelled and fought. We sketched items, asked questions and made connections to our classroom work. The visit supported our learning and encouraged us to find out more about the people who shaped early medieval Britain.
