Safer Internet Day
St John Evangelist marked Safer Internet Day on 19th March with a whole-school focus on staying safe online. The day began with an assembly exploring what AI is and how we can use it responsibly and safely.
Throughout the day, each year group took part in a computing workshop, run by Three Discovery. Year 1/2 and Year 2 students created digital posters on iPads, learning how to share clear and positive online safety messages. Year 3 students designed comic books on iPads to teach others about staying safe online. Year 4 students explored animated adverts on iPads, while Year 5 students created movie-making newsreels on iPads. Year 6 students extended their learning further by producing films using green screen technology on iPads.
It was a fantastic day of creativity and learning, helping all students to become more confident, informed, and responsible digital citizens.
