Digital Leaders

“We are a group of two children from each class in the juniors. We help the children in younger year groups and in our own classes with their ICT lessons. Sometimes we help them with how to logon using their Google passwords and we help them to use different websites. In our own classes we are responsible for looking after the class laptops, making sure they’re charged and ready to use for our lessons.”

The Digital Leaders team is made up of two students from each class in Years 4 to 6. They help look after technology in our school and make sure everyone uses it safely. They work together to learn new skills, be creative with computing, and share their ideas by helping classmates, going on trips, and joining exciting meetings.

Children who show interest and a strength in IT & Computing are chosen by the IT & Computing Lead to take on this role in each class.

Elkyn – I am excited to be a Digital Leader because technology can be used for so many things, especially to help younger year groups with subjects they find difficult. I want to harness technology in a way that ensures all students who need help can access it.

Jasmine – I want to learn new computer skills that I can share with others.

Zach – I want to help others in my class, particularly with using apps like Bee-Bots and Micro:bits.

Theo – I want to help younger children and create new apps and games that support learning and can be used by everyone.

Olivia – I love using computers and different types of technology, and I want to share what I know with others.

Maison – As a Digital Leader, I want to learn how to create games and explore new programs.

Jake – I want to learn how to make video games that can be used in school and to teach younger year groups how to use technology safely.

Elora – I am excited to be a Digital Leader because I love using computers and want to learn how to teach other people what I know.
