Eco Team

At St John’s we are committed to making our school more environmentally friendly and sustainable. We have been working with the Garden Classroom to develop the children’s understanding of sustainability and the eco-team meet at least once a half term to draw up an action plan and suggest ways to make St John’s an eco-friendly environment.

A member of the Eco-Team at St John Evangelist Catholic School will:

  • Care about the environment and help our school to become more eco-friendly
  • Listen to ideas and suggestions from their peers which they can share with the Eco-Team
  • Be responsible for putting together an Eco Action plan
  • Work with eco teams from other schools in our network (we are in a network with 11 other schools in Islington)
  • Work with our Eco-Team link governor, Claire Zammit
  • Be excellent role models for their peers at all times

If you would like to be an Eco-Team member then you will need to complete an application form in September and return it to the office. Ms Hall, who leads the Eco-Team, will then choose six children from Year 4 and 5 to become the Eco-Team.
