  • Be responsible for sharing those ideas with the school council team
  • Work with the school council team to decide which ideas to move forward with that will help to improve the school
  • Plan ways to raise money to finance their ideas
  • Request funding from the Parents’ Association and Local Councillors to implement an improvement for the school
  • Work with school councils from other schools in our network
  • Go on trips related to our role as school council reps (e.g. to Islington Town Hall)
  • Be excellent role models for their peers at all times

How to become a School Council Rep:

If you want to be a school council representative, you will need to complete an application form in September detailing why you want the role. You will then need to present to your class why you should be chosen to be their school council representative. All of the children in your class will then vote using an anonymous ballot and the two children with the most votes will be school council reps for this academic year.
