Times of the school day

The school has a ‘soft start’ to the day which means that the gates open at 8.45am and teachers will be in classrooms at this time to supervise children until school starts at 9.00am.

All children should enter through the main gates on Duncan Street.

Parents should leave children at the gates in the morning to come in to school independently. Nursery and Reception parents are welcome to bring their children to the classroom door while children are settling.

Please do not bring dogs onto the playground or allow children to play on wheeled toys such as bikes, scooters, skates or skateboards. If you arrive after 9.00am, children will need to come to the main gate and collect a late ticket. The school gates are locked at 9.20am and reopened at 3.15pm.

At 3:15pm, the gates will be opened and you will need to walk to your child’s classroom to collect them. Staff will not let children go with an adult who is not on their collection list.
