School uniform
Our school uniform is designed to be comfortable and to look smart. All children wear a navy blue sweatshirt or cardigan with our school logo and a red polo shirt with the school logo. Skirts and trousers should be navy blue. Red checked dresses may be worn during the summer months and navy blue shorts. Sensible black school shoes must be worn, not trainers or ballet shoes. We ask that children wear red or navy hair clips and headbands and navy blue socks and tights. The uniform is available from ‘Rough Cut Casuals’ situated at 16 Chapel Market, London N1 9EZ. PE / Games
All children in KS1 and KS2 are required to wear a red t-shirt for PE with the school logo on. Children also need navy blue shorts and plimsolls. Track suits may be worn for outdoor PE / Games in cold weather. Children must have these in a school drawstring PE bag.
Swimming
Children will need a navy one piece swimming costume or trunks (these should not be long or loose fitting) and a swimming hat. Please note that Islington swimming pools require parents / carers to give permission in writing if they wish their children to wear goggles during swimming lessons. We ask that parents do not watch lessons as it distracts the children.
Nursery
The children in our nursery are required to wear the school uniform. We ask that parents supply the nursery with a spare uniform which is clearly labelled with the child’s name. This is kept in the nursery in case of accidents/ messy play.
Jewellery
Children are not allowed to wear jewellery to school. Ear studs or small sleeper earrings can be worn but children must be able to take them out themselves for PE lessons or swimming.
Sun protection
During the summer months it is advisable for your child to have a sun hat in school (with the school logo on the front) and please ensure your child is protected with a high factor sun screen on hot days.
Winter coats
We encourage our children to go outside during breaks and lunchtimes for fresh air. Please ensure that your child has a suitable coat during winter months or if it is likely to rain. Fleeces and waterproof jackets with the school logo can be bought from our suppliers. All coats must be navy blue and plain.
All school uniform including PE kit must be clearly named. Thank you.
